On October 30, Dr. Don Solomon continues his series in Nehemiah with a message called, By Prayer, Empowered to Stand, from Nehemiah 2:18-20, 4:1-9, 16-18, 6:1-9.
Nehemiah runs into opposition to the noble work that God has guided him to accomplish, from three guys, Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, who who are furious at Nehemiah. They scheme, ridicule, plot, belittle, bully, and intend to do harm to Nehemiah and the people doing this good work. They use intimidation and lies to disrupt the good work of rebuilding the walls and gates.

On October 23, Dr. Don Solomon continues his series in Nehemiah with a message called, Arise and Build, from Nehemiah 2:1-5, 11-18.
1) Face Up - to the reality of the destruction and problems that surround us.
2) Team Up - with other like-minded and spiritual people, notice the WE and US is Nehemiah's conversations.
3) Gird Up - get to the church issues that need to be dealt with, get it done, commit yourselves to the work ahead.
4) Look Up - at the presence and power of almighty God who will work it all out.
5) Stand Up - for the vision and will of God, stand up to the opposition, those who seek to sabotage the work and ministry of the church in favor of their personal ambitions and personal preferences. In this story, beware of Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arab; these three men give Nehemiah grief.
